After leaving school to join a local estate agents, I then became a civil servant, local government officer, and Prudential Insurance Agent. Following redundancy in 1993, I ran ‘Coversure Insurance Services’, Angel Hill, Bury St Edmunds from 1993 -1998, before selling up. A number of semi-retired jobs followed, but my last employment was aiding severely autistic and disabled adults, which I found incredibly rewarding. I retired in 2010, and am living out retirement close to the Peak District National Park, which we visit regularly.
I must admit I was not the best behaved pupil, but KEGS set me up on my path through life, although it took me some years to appreciate it! I have been a background member of The Old Burians’ Association for many years now, and can still recite the historic school anthem (“Dulcem juventutis florem ..” etc.). My greetings to all those from my days at KEGS.
